This heritage has resulted in a high density of space-related institutes providing services such as knowledge and facilities to support the business community.
Our region has an extensive Innovation Infrastructure in place, part of which are various institutes and fieldlabs. In these fieldlabs, companies of all sizes work intensively with research and education institutes and with commitment and support from the Dutch government.

The campus in Noordwijk facilitates interaction within the space community by bringing together startups, scale-ups, SME and space institutes. The organisation also assist in finding the right business location and provides access to testing facilities.
The European Space Research and Technology Center (ESTEC) in Noordwijk is the largest ESA facility in Europe and forms the technical heart of the organisation. It employs 2,800 engineers, technicians and scientists to develop and manage all types of ESA missions.
The European GNSS Agency (GSA) has located its Galileo Reference Centre (GRC) in Noordwijk which monitors Galileo’s performance
