InnovationQuarter and Greentown Labs announce the “BOSteRDAM” Cleantech Link to provide startups access to new markets
Regional development agency InnovationQuarter and Greentown Labs, the largest cleantech incubator in the United States, launched the “BOSteRDAM” cleantech link during a Netherlands offshore wind delegation visit to Greentown Labs on October 18. BOSteRDAM is a two-week market expansion program which facilitates a soft-landing location for Dutch entrepreneurs with an interest in the Greater Boston Area, and for American cleantech entrepreneurs with the ambition to do business in the Netherlands.

Norwegians excited about Dutch maritime solutions
On April 24th and 25th InnovationQuarter and Netherlands Maritime Technology have organized a Technology Exchange Roadshow (TER) to Aalesund, Norway. A group of eight Dutch maritime companies presented their new technologies and innovations to Norwegian ship designers. The Dutch solutions proved relevant and the participants turned home with useful business contacts and a wealth of information on the Norwegian market.

Inspiring first Drecht Cities International meeting at Bolidt
On April 19th, the first Drecht Cities International network meeting took place at Bolidt, expert in synthetic applications like flooring, ship decks and wearing courses. Forbes names the Netherlands No. 3 Best Country for Business
The Netherlands is the No. 3 Best Country for Business, says Forbes. The annual ranking placed the Netherlands above other European countries including Ireland, Germany and France. Rounding out the top five on the best countries list are the UK, New Zealand, Sweden and Canada.

In its third year of existence, InnovationQuarter has had a record 12-month period, according to its 2016 Annual Report published today. The regional development agency attracted more foreign firms than ever to the region, has made no less than 19 investments and stimulated several dozen innovative partnerships between companies. In 2016, InnovationQuarter’s activities led to € 139 million of additional private investments and the creation of 971 new jobs in the region.
